Chapter 27: Erwin Smith

Outside the forest, Armin explains to Jean that Erwin sacrificed soldiers to set the trap, and that anyone who wants to change things must be ready to abandon their humanity. Inside, Levi's squad discusses the plan with Eren. Erwin tries to blast apart the Female Titan's hardened hand with explosives, and Levi threatens her. She lets out a scream that draws the nearby Titans, which devour her despite the soldiers' efforts.
