Eren Yeager
The protagonist. A boy from Shiganshina whose dream is to exterminate the Titans after watching one devour his mother.
“If you win, you live. If you lose, you die. If you don't fight, you can't win.”
Childhood
Son of the doctor Grisha Yeager and Carla. He grew up alongside Mikasa (whom he saved from traffickers) and Armin. In 845 he watched the Smiling Titan devour his mother during the fall of Shiganshina.
Cadet and Titan
He graduated 5th in the 104th Training Corps. During the Battle of Trost he is eaten, but he transforms into a Titan and seals the hole in the wall with a boulder. He is placed in the custody of Levi's squad in the Survey Corps.
Power of the Coordinate
On the night of the fall, his father injected him with the serum and had Eren devour him: Eren inherited the Attack Titan and the Founding Titan. During the rescue from Reiner and Bertolt, he activates the Coordinate for the first time by touching Dina Fritz. In the basement in Shiganshina he discovers the truth about the outside world.
Change of Course
After seeing future memories through the Attack Titan, he travels alone to Marley, attacks Liberio and devours Lara Tybur (War Hammer Titan). Using Zeke, he reaches the Paths, frees Ymir Fritz and unleashes the Rumbling, which wipes out about 80% of humanity.
Death and Legacy
He is decapitated by Mikasa in the final battle of 854. He reveals to Armin that he wanted his friends to stop him so they would become heroes in the eyes of the world, and that the power of the Titans disappears with his death.
