Armin Arlert
Eren's best friend. Physically weak but a brilliant strategist; he dreamed of seeing the ocean, the fire, the ice and the sand of the outside world.
“Someone who can't sacrifice anything can never change anything.”
Childhood
Raised by his grandfather, who owned a forbidden book about the outside world. His grandfather died in the 846 operation to retake Wall Maria.
Strategist
He devises the plan to retake the supply headquarters in Trost and deduces the identity of the Female Titan.
Colossal Titan
During the Battle of Shiganshina he sacrifices himself to distract Bertolt and is left on the verge of death. Levi gives him the injection meant for Erwin: Armin transforms and devours Bertolt, inheriting the Colossal Titan.
Ending
He defeats the Titans of the Paths with the help of the past inheritors, convinces Ymir, and after the war becomes the 15th Commander of the Survey Corps and Paradis's chief ambassador.
