Retaking of Wall Maria (Battle of Shiganshina)
The Survey Corps sets out to seal Shiganshina and reach Grisha Yeager's basement. The Warriors ambush them: the Beast Titan surrounds the soldiers with Titans and Bertholdt razes the city. Erwin leads the recruits in a suicide charge so that Levi can kill the Beast. Armin sacrifices himself to defeat the Colossal, and Levi then saves him with the injection instead of Erwin.

How it unfolded
Sealing the gate
Eren, hardened, seals the outer gate. The Survey Corps searches the Wall and discovers Reiner hiding.
The Beast's ambush
The Beast Titan has Titans surround the soldiers and destroys the horses; the Armored blocks the inner side.
The Colossal's explosion
Bertholdt transforms in midair and razes the district. Moblit dies saving Hange, and Keiji and others are incinerated.
The suicide charge
Erwin leads the recruits against the Beast's barrage of rocks. While everyone falls, Levi shreds the Beast, though the Cart rescues it.
Armin's sacrifice
Armin endures the Colossal's heat so that Eren can defeat it. Levi uses the serum on Armin, who devours Bertholdt and inherits the Colossal.
The basement
Eren, Mikasa, Levi and Hange open Grisha's basement and discover the truth about the outside world and Marley.
